From today’s reading in the One Year Chronological Bible dated 2/17:

In today’s reading we see further how serious the Lord takes our sin. Whether it is intentional or unintentional. The Lord looks at 4 categories: priests, whole congregation, rulers, and common people. We are all sinners but God ensures a way for everyone to atone for their sins including the poor. “If he is not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring…two turtledoves or two young pigeons…” “If he is not able to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he who sinned shall bring…one tenth of an ephah of fine flour…” The day is coming when the people will no longer have to bring a sacrifice and John the Baptist will announce “…Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) Jesus will willingly lay down His life “and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Rev 1:5-6) Keep reading bc tomorrow the priests get dressed for their new job.
