Today Job’s young friend, Elihu, comes forward proving that age does not always equal wisdom. Elihu is angry at Job for justifying “himself rather than God” and he is angry at the three friends bc “they had found no answer and yet had condemned Job”. Elihu confronts Job when he says that he heard Job say “I am pure, without transgression; I am innocent, and there is no iniquity in me”. Elihu then states, “Look, in this you are not righteous”. Elihu is correct! 1 John 1:8 says “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth’s not in us”. There is only one person that ever walked the earth that was without sin and that is Jesus! Job is a sinner just like the rest of us. What makes Job righteous is his faith in the Lord! Tomorrow we will hear some more insight from Elihu about the greatness of God and then the next day the Lord speaks! Keep reading…we are in the home stretch on the book of Job!
